Outbreak BGC 2
A zombie infested run in a yuppie infested place like BGC, you already know that it's not going to be as realistic as Outbreak Enchanted Kingdom.
I've been skeptical ever since they announced that the fifth outbreak (1 - Nuvali, 2 - BGC, 3 - EK, 4 - Cebu) will be in BGC again. I read reviews on the first zombie run in BGC and it wasn't good. But as a birthday gift to my persistent cousin, I agreed to register us to this fun run.
This is our second time to join this event. The first one was in Outbreak Enchanted Kingdom on October 31, 2012 when I went as Nyan Cat. Halloween, Zombie run, inside a carnival with only Zombies inside, it is the perfect setting to psyche the runners. It is a huge success and it is really hard to top it off.

Blogilates
She is Cassey Ho and her social media sites bear the name of Blogilates. I thinks it means Blog + Pilates. She is famous for her Pop Pilates videos. Pop Pilates meaning she base her Pilates/Cardio/HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workouts on pop songs such as Taylor Swift, One Direction and Maroon Five songs.
Like tons of her other followers, I love her energy, how she motivates you to push yourself to the limits, how she tells you a story during a really hard workout to try to keep your mind off quitting, and how she makes you sweat like a pig while saying you look beautiful.
I first came across her in the virtual world when I was browsing some Yoga videos on Youtube and I randomly clicked on one of her videos. Until then, I was hooked. Her fitness calendar had been the wallpaper on my laptop since September 2012. I have been trying to religiously follow the workouts on her calendar each day for 5 months now. Yes, I've been devoting at least 30 minutes of my everyday life to her if you would like to put it that way.
Before her, I thought I was already fit coz I could do more sit ups than most of my male friends and I could run faster than any of my female friends. I was wrong. After trying her workouts, I oftentimes find myself out of breath and wanting the 30 seconds side plank to be over. I realized how my balance suck and how weak my arms are.
This is the workout video that made me humble, it showed me I have a long way to go when it comes to fitness and that my biceps and triceps are such pussies. Darn, I really hate side planks! :D
Meanwhile, this is my favorite Pop Pilates video because I observed myself get better in doing this workout upon repetition and perseverance! Before, I have to stop while pulsing in duck squats but now, I could follow the whole video in a breeze.. :)
So there, the reason for this post is because there is not much fitness entry in this blog which is weird because exercising is part of my daily routine. Just see my desktop post-it below.. :D

Outbreak Enchanted Kingdom: The FUN Run
I have been training and exercising everyday thinking I could outrun the Zombies at the outbreak, I was wrong. The EK Zombies are fast, fierce, merciless, hungry and freaking numerous!
I was killed by Zombies (err.. got my 3 flags) not even half way on the race. After dying I decided to just have fun and to just live up to my Nyan Cat costume. So I maxed the volume of my speaker booming the Nyan Cat nyan and started to mimic the Nyan Cat run.
I don't know if it's because I do not have flags left or if the Zombies got distracted with all my nyaning that they decided not chase me anymore. Some Zombies even decided to dance with my Nyan Cat err.. music. To the Nun Zombie, thank you for dancing with me and making my Outbreak experience 10x more fun and unforgettable.
It was also nice to have people recognize my Nyan Cat cosplay and be able to receive the "Ang cute" remark once in a while. Words could not explain how awesome this event was and I'd definitely do it again next year!
Meanwhile, below are the snapshots I got before and after the run. I did not bring my camera during the race which is the biggest regret I have for that day. I wasn't able to take picture with the Zombies! Specially with the Spiderman Zombie who is probably the only Zombie that recognized me.

Bikini Body Part 1: The Beginning
I used to have defined abs back in high school because I do at least 50 sit ups everyday. During PE, I would beat my male classmates in having the most amount of sit up repetitions in 2 minutes. Then came college when I lost a lot of weight (Engineering, nuff said) that my tummy looked flat even if I do not exercise. Then I graduated, got a job, had money to buy foods that I like, got old which slowed down my metabolism, which caused me to lose that oblique abdominal muscle definition that I have before.
Since I am aiming to be in an out of town destination more which would mean I get to soak in the beach more than I used to, and since I am 25, at the right age to be not so conservative, I thought I need those ab muscles back so I could wear a bikini and show it to the world *wink wink*.
I have a planned out of town trip in November to South Cotabato (General Santos, Saranggani, Lake Sebu). I am the one who is doing the itinerary and even if I prefer the mountains than the beaches, I can not resist the waters that Glan, Saranggani has to offer.
So, me in a two-piece low-cut bikini it is. I have 4 months to work my body off.
I have downloaded this video probably about a month ago and have been doing it at least twice a week. It features variations of planking that targets your upper abs, lower abs and obliques (love handles). I like this video because it is perfect for beginners, she is easy to follow and she mentions all the wrong things that a beginner might do.
Ok, below are the picture of the "before" body that I am working with.

FYI, I am currently eating this salty soup and drinking coffee that is why I look really bloated. Hehe! Excuses! Well, maybe I should eat healthier too.
In the span of four months, I will be posting pictures of my progress and even after that goal in November, I hope to continue planking until I can. Bikini body, here I come!

Health Inspirations
| Lunch: Wendy's Big Macaroni Salad |
| Dinner: Left over lunch, Ripe Mangoes and Watermelon |
Hanep! I feel like a real runner that is pushing myself to the limits.. Echos!
Sabi nga nila, it's not a phase, it is a lifestyle. =)
At bilang pasasalamat at pagkilala sa kanila, ito nga pala yung mga encouraging na mga Tumblr health blogs na finafollow ko:
I am sure after browsing through those blogs, seeing the different ways that you could do to be healthy and seeing all those abs and rocking bodies, maiinspire ka talaga na magpakahealthy.

Early Morning Run
Start the day right.
I think the DIY yoga from downloaded videos in youtube improved my strength. All those variations of planking, mountain pose, triangle pose, extended side angle pose, and down dog pose paid off. I was able to run longer distance without getting tired easily. I love it! I was able to do five laps around SM Southmall. Ok fine, it was alternate running and walking. The fourth and fifth rounds were mostly walking (hehe). Even if I wanted to run some more, I prefer to enjoy the sun. I was just walking slowly and feeling the warmth that the early morning sun has to offer. I hope it will not rain tomorrow so I can start the day right again. =)

An Early Morning Jog
It has been a while since I run/jog my ass off so today I decided to break a sweat. Good thing I am living near an SM Supermall so there is an ample sized parking lot that I could use for running. So at 6:00 AM , together with other sweaters, I run lapses around SM. I love free things and I am not a fan of expensive gym memberships so this cheap but effective workout does the trick. I alternately ran and walk, well, mostly walk cause I don't want to pass out if I push it too hard. Nangangalawang na ako e, so I have to build my endurance again. I did that for one hour and since I haven't had my breakfast, I already feel dizzy. Plus the fact that I didn't brought a bottle of water, I felt dehydrated too so I decided to go home.
I really prefer running in the afternoon cause the temperature gets colder so I could run for as long as I want and I don't feel hungry that fast. Oh well, it is good getting healthy again. I love the after-exercise-glow. Anyways, I bought these for my breakfast. I am not sure of the calorie or carb content of these but I am not the type who stress my self with things I eat. It may be a bad thing but hey, it works for me. I just try to avoid fast food and keep everything in moderation.
